Altering keno to expand revenue

A proposal in the city of Omaha’s legislative package would reduce the time interval between keno games from five minutes to possibly three or less. The reason behind the change is to increase the number of games that can be played and that in tern will increase revenue generated by the game. Councilwoman Jean Stothert isn’t supporting the change saying it amounts to expanded gambling.
Stothert doesn’t think there is enough support in the legislature to reduce the time between games and she doubts it will generate extra revenue. A similar measure last year failed in the Unicameral.
