Arlington, NE, ranks as #2 place in USA to raise kids

A town in eastern Nebraska ranks among the best places in America to raise a family.
The new list from the website, BusinessWeek.com, and Bloomberg is based on a host of criteria, including: education, ethnic diversity, crime, air quality and household income.
Of more than 4,000 cities nationwide, all with populations between 1,000 and 50,000, it names Blacksburg, Virginia, as the number-one place to raise kids.
Second on the list? Arlington, Nebraska, a town with a populationĀ of nearly 1,200, situatedĀ about a half-hour northwest of Omaha. The poll calls Arlington a classic Midwest farming town with top-notch schools.
Third through fifth on the survey: Morton Grove, Illinois; St. Henry, Ohio and Spring Arbor, Michigan.
