Sources reporting Paterno will retire at the end of season

An announcement is expected to come later today that Penn State football coach Joe Paterno has decided to retire at the end of the season, ending a span of 40+ years that will end over a child sex-abuse case involving former assistant Jerry Sandusky.
Penn State’s board of trustees put together a special committee to investigate the scandal that has resulted in 40 criminal counts against the retired defensive coordinator and has also led to the resignation of athletic director Tim Curley and senior vice president Gary Schultz.
