Wayne State wins on long field goal in closing seconds

For the second week in a row, it was Max Martin’s foot that was the difference maker for the Wayne State football team.  His 49 yard field goal with 13 seconds remaining gave Wayne State College a dramatic 34-32 win at Augustana College Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Conference play.
The Wildcats move to 7-3 overall and 7-2 in the NSIC while Augustana College is now 5-5 on the season while sporting a 5-4 league mark. The Wildcats play their final game at home next Saturday hosting Winona State in the annual Egg Bowl Game at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne starting at 1:00 p.m.
Martin also kicked a 22 yard field goal at home last week in overtime to give the Wildcats a 44-41 win over Upper Iowa.
