UNMC Behavioral Health Conference is Friday

Behavioral health providers, educators and regulators are invited to attend a half-day conference on breaking down obstacles to provide access to services through telecommunications systems. Dr. Michael Rice is the associate director of the Nebraska Behavioral Health Education Center and a professor at the University of Nebraska College of Nursing and tells us their goal is to have a system across the state that will enable rural residents to connect with an on-call provider trained on telecommunications systems almost immediately.
This conference will be held Friday at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha but will be available on-line to participants in Scottsbluff, Kearney, Norfolk and Lincoln.
