Ticket sales hot for 2012 Olympic swim trials

Many sports fans are marking their calendars for June 25th through July 2nd. That is when the 2012 Olympic Swim Trials will be held at the Century Link Center in Omaha. Fans will be coming to Nebraska from around the country to see this event. Howard Cliff, President of the Omaha Sports Commission says up until now, ticket sales were limited to the full eight-day competition. They have now broken ticket availability into packages.
Cliff says they now have four day packages available. These tickets are for the first or last four days of the event. Those packages went on sale Saturday and are going very well.
Excitement for the event is already building. Olympic eight gold medal winner Michael Phelps will be back in Nebraska for the event as well as many other top notch swimmers. Those who took part in 2008 stated the Century Link Center, then the Qwest Center, was very pleased with the venue.
Cliff says they will start installing the custom made portable pools May 23, 2012. Participants can come early to get used to the pools and venue.
Over 160,000 fans attended the event in Nebraska in 2008.
