Cook says NU volleyball team buying into the system (AUDIO)

The #4 Nebraska volleyball came back to be #1 Illinois after dropping the first set for a 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-19, 25-11) victory. The Huskers are the only undefeated team left in Big Ten Conference play. The last time a Husker team beat the #1 team in the country was on Sept. 6, 1990 when the No. 3 Huskers beat UCLA.
Morgan Broekhuis led Nebraska with 17 kills and a career-high-tying 11 digs for the fourth double-double of her career. Gina Mancuso tallied 15, Brooke Delano had 11 and Mancuso also picked up 14 digs for her ninth double-double.
Head coach John Cook was very proud of his team’s effort and really talked about how this team is sticking to and beginning to believe in the program’s philosophy.
