Huskers debut at 13 in the BCS standings

The first BCS standings came out and despite a loss to the Buckeyes, the Illlinois Illini are in their first BCS rankings since 2007 coming in a #23. Penn State is #21 followed by Michigan who took a hit and dropped to #18. Michigan State just ahead of them at #16 and Nebraska debuts off the bye week at #13. Wisconsin is sixth, but dropped a bit despite being number 4 in the AP and Coaches poll. A weak non conference is the blame for their drop. The Huskers were ranked 11th in both polls, but the BCS computers dropped them two spots. In fact, every Big Ten school with the exception of Penn State debuted lower in the BCS standings than where they were ranked in the human polls.
