Husker soccer snaps five game losing streak

Morgan Marlborough scored two second half goal and got a career-high 11 saves from Emma Stevens as the Nebraska soccer team pulled out a 3-2 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes (10-7-1, 3-4-1). The Huskers, who are 6-8-1 overall and 3-5-0 in the conference, snapped a five-game losing streak.
Ohio State helped NU when a defender knocked the ball into their own goal. 15 minutes later, OSU tied the game at 1-1. In the second half, Marlborough scored her 17th of the year at the 50-minute mark and tacked on another 20 minutes later.
The Buckeyes closed the gap with a goal in the 80th minute, but couldn’t pull any closer as they fired off 26 shots (14 on goal) at Stevens, the most allowed by NU this season.
