4th ranked Lopers battle Chadron State for 20-13 win

One of the top offenses in Division II football, 4th ranked Nebraska Kearney racked up 520 yards of offense, but they had to battle in state rival Chadron State as the Lopers came away with a 20-13 win.
In the third quarter, the Eagles picked off senior QB Jake Spitzlberger at the Kearney 26-yard line and, after several runs by tailback Glen Clinton, tacked on a TD to grab a 10-7 lead. Chadron then recovered a fumble at the Loper 39. Chadron got the ball inside the ten, but on a 2nd and goal play, Clinton lost control of the ball and OLB Jack Douglas pounced on it.
The UNK offense responded with a seven play, 94-yard drive that gave the Lopers the lead for good.
