Iowa Department of Transportation will reopen Interstate 29 from Pacific Junction to the Missouri Line at 10 o’ clock Saturday morning. Officials say there will be temporary lane crossovers near Hamburg. Exit 1 at Hamburg and exit 10 that goes to Nebraska City will remain closed.
D-O-T officials are also asking drivers to be patient Saturday morning as the barriers come down. They expect heavy traffic along the interstate and to help minimize congestion, drivers are asked not to park on the interstate in advance and wait for the road to reopen. They say because of the congestion expected, allow yourself a bit more time for the delay.
