An Omaha woman is behind bars today after a hit and run accident Tuesday.
Just after 3:00 Tuesday, 57 year old Donald McPherson pulled over on the shoulder along the North Expressway in Omaha near Lake Street to help his brother with a minivan that had broken down.
McPherson was hit by a car driven by 32 year old Shantell Phillips. Investigators say Phillips kept on going and then hit a metro bus before leaving the area. She was arrested a short time later and now faces felony hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license charges.
