Omaha hosting another big sporting event

Nebraska… “The International” is coming to Omaha. The International is a major equestrian jumping competition and it will be held at the Century Link Center on April 20th and 21st. Founder Lisa Roskins says about 150 riders will compete in the two day event that showcases horsemanship.
Roskins is keeping her fingers crossed that the event goes well. She says the U-S Olympic swim trials have been held in Omaha and are coming back and the U-S Figure Skating trials are scheduled as well. Roskins says if things go well in April, she will bid to bring an international competition to the city.
Roskins says her goal is to bring the World Cup in equestrian competition to Omaha. That could bring ten-thousand people to Omaha for a full week and it features the highest level of show jumping.
But for now Roskins is focusing on The International competition. Again, it is April 20th and 21st. Tickets to the event are now available.
