Husker men make it nine in a row

The Husker men turned in a solid performance after being off for 13 days beating North Dakota 77-46 for NU’s ninth win in a row, the longest win streak since the 94-95 season. Brandon Ubel had 11 points off the bench and it was the fourth straight game NU has shot over 50%.
The Huskers have one more non-conference game on tomorrow against Savannah State (92-61 loss at K-State Monday night), then open up Big 12 play Saturday night against Iowa State.
Ubel, along with Jorge Brian Diaz and Andre Almeida combined to make 12 of 16 shots. Almeida and Diaz had 10 points apiece, as the Huskers held a 34-14 advantage in points from the paint. It was the fourth straight game NU shot above 50 percent.
Sophomore Eshaunte Jones also scored 11 with eight of those coming in the first half in a 12-2 run to close the half with a 36-20 lead. NU then started the second half on a 16-6 run to stretch its lead to double up the Fighting Sioux at 52-26 with 10:25 left.
