Mara Hjelle of Wayne State was selected the Northern Sun Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. It’s the second time this season and the second time in her career that Hjelle has received NSIC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors. The Bear Lake, Minnesota, native averaged a double-double over the weekend with 15.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in helping the 10th-ranked Wildcats win in her home state at MSU Moorhead and Minnesota, Crookston.
