Gallegos leads Huskers to huge win

Sophomore guard Ray Gallegos was shooting just better than 27% heading into Tuesday night’s game. Gallegos sparked a 40 point win for the Nebraska basketball team scoring a career high 15 points in a 79-39 win over Grambling State.
The Huskers improve to 10-2 and match their longest winning streak of eight games since the 1994-95 season.
Gallegos was an effective 7 of 10 leading the Huskers to a 53% (33-of-62) shooting night. NU held the Tigers to just 25% shooting, making it the eighth straight game of holding opponents under 60 points, marking the first time that has happened in over 60 years.
NU is off now until January 2nd, when they host North Dakota.
