Hopefully what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. I’m talking about the two game losing streak for the Nebraska women’s basketball team. The Huskers dropped their second game in the Duel in the Desert losing to Marist on Sunday 65-60. This came after a 79-70 loss. NU will look to avoid a three game losing streak when they finish up against Louisville.
Against the Cougars, the Huskers got a career high 25 points from Jordan Hooper including a career best five three-pointers to go along with 13 rebounds for her second career double-double, but it wasn’t enough as Houston held off two Husker rallies.
Dominique Kelley scored 12 points and Catheryn Redmon added 11 points and seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough against the Red Foxes who have won five straight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference titles. NU saw a 39-34 half time lead slip away.
