Plenty of rumors and speculation about Nebraska coaches and what their future holds. Perhaps later this afternoon, we’ll get more answers from Bo Pelini.
Listen to the Big Red Report
Nebraska senior cornerback Prince Amukamara was honored by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, as a 1st team All-American with the annual Walter Camp team being unveiled last night at the College Football Awards Show in Orlando, Fla.
Amukamara is the leader of the NU secondary that has helped the Huskers rank in the top 10 nationally in pass efficiency defense, passing yards allowed, scoring defense and total defense. Amukamara ranks among the nation’s leaders with 13 pass breakups this season/
Amukamara was one of seven Big 12 Conference players on the Walter Camp first-team All-America squad. Five players were on the first-team offense, while Amukamara was joined on the first-team defense by Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller.
Speaking of the Walter Camp Foundation, Former University of Nebraska and Kansas City Chiefs offensive guard Will Shields is the recipient of the Walter Camp Foundation’s “Man of the Year” award. The award goes to someone involved not only in football, but someone who has contributed in public service. Several years ago, Shields and his wife established The “Will to Succeed” Foundation,” a charitable organization that helps abused and neglected women and children.
