Medical marijuana cards no good in Nebraska

If your holiday guests are from Colorado and they have medical marijuana cards, it does not mean they are free to use the drug in this state. Colonel Brian Tuma with the State Patrol says the Nebraska law is clear.
“So if they’re a medical marijuana card holder in their home state that is not valid in Nebraska and technically they’re in violation of the law if they’re in possession of any Marijuana.”
If you are in possession of less than an ounce of Marijuana, you will be written a citation. Colorado law allows those with a medical marijuana card to carry up to two ounces of marijuana. If a Nebraska officer catches you with more than an ounce you may be headed to jail.
