Hastings women's soccer pull off biggest upset ever

Unseeded Hastings women’s soccer scored a goal in each half to eliminate number one ranked Concordia (Ore.) 2-1 in the second round of the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship.
Hastings, 16-4-2, took the lead 1-0 on Megan Rerucha’s goal, 17:50 into the game. At the 72:53 mark Concordia tied the game at 1-1. However, Sara Wenzel secured the Broncos upset with only 4:55 remaining on the clock.  Concordia outshot the Broncos 21-9, including a 13-3 advantage in the second half, but Hastings keeper Megan Kreifels made seven saves. 
The Broncos move into the quarterfinals and will square off against the winner of the No. 9-seed William Carey (Miss.) and Houghton (N.Y.) match Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. CST.
