Big Red Report–Bo and Bob together for one game

Two childhood buddies will be battling it out this Saturday for the Big 12 Championship in Arlington, Texas. By now, you know the story of the Pelini’s and Stoops families growing up together. There is a lot of admiration that Bo has for Bob and his family.
As far as the Sooners, they wrapped up their eighth Big 12 South title by winning its last three games, including two on the road. The Sooners’ two losses this season came on the road to Missouri and Texas A&M, while it reeled off three straight victories against Texas Tech, Baylor and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma won its annual Bedlam battle by scoring 23 fourth-quarter points last Saturday in Stillwater to come away with a thrilling 47-41 victory.
If you remember the Huskers game against Oklahoma State, NU’s defense had trouble catching up with the Cowboys hurry up offense in the first half. Oklahoma’s offense may be even faster. They ran 107 plays in that win over OSU on Saturday and it starts with their sophomore quarterback Landry Jones who is among the Big 12’s leader in passing yards per game at 341 and has guided the Sooners to its fourth 10-win season in the past five years. Jones is closing in on a 4,000-yard passing season as he has 3,947 yards entering the Big 12 Championship Game.
