Nebraska, Creighton advance to NCAA volleyball tournament

The Nebraska volleyball team will host one of 16 sites for the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. Thursday night, NU takes on Sacred Heart of the Northeast Conference. The overall number two seeded Huskers would then play the winner of Auburn and Missouri State on Friday. Creighton makes their first ever NCAA appearance as an at large bid and will open Friday at 4:30 against Iowa State up in Minneapolis.
Tickets for Nebraska’s first two rounds are on sale. In addition to NU’s games, play will start on Thursday, at 4:30 p.m. when the Auburn Tigers (20-12) of the SEC take on the Missouri State Bears (21-9), a rival of Creighton from the Missouri Valley Conference. Nebraska (27-2) will then take the court during Thursday’s second match and will face the Sacred Heart Pioneers (29-6), who recently won its first ever Northeast Conference title.
The second round will take place on Friday, at 7 p.m.. The winner moves on to the Seattle Regional.
Tickets for the first and second rounds in Lincoln will go on sale Monday morning, by calling the NU Ticket Office at 800-8-BIGRED or in person at the NU Athletic Ticket Office. All-session ticket prices are set at $34 (reserved) and $30 (general admission) and include the two first-round games, as well as the second-round matchup between the first-round winners.
