Wayne State edged Nebraska-Kearney 72-71 in overtime Thursday evening at Rice Auditorium in Wayne. The game featured seven ties and 13 lead changes. WSC moves to 2-0 while UNK drops to 1-1. Brad Starken finished with 19 points to lead Wayne State in scoring followed by Jason Jensen with 14 and Amry Shelby 13. WSC shot 41% for the game. Nebraska-Kearney was led by Akeem Morissaint who scored 19 points with Ben Klein adding 16 and Tim Billingsley 11. The Lopers shot 51% from the field, while making 11 of 22 three pointers.
