High school volleyball championship scores

The High school volleyball championships wrapped up Saturday in Hastings, the first time in 21 years that the tournament was not held in Lincoln.  Attendance was down nearly 20%, but the competition remained intense.
Papillion-La Vista South is the first school since 1972 to win the state by going undefeated.  Omaha Gross repeats in Class B.  Grand Island Centra Catholic did not allow an upset this year playing in their back yard for the C-1 title.  Top seeded Lutheran NE took the C-2 title and Exeter Milligan beat Howells in straight sets for the D-1 title and Lawrence Nelson beat Sterling in five sets to win the D-2 title after dropping the first two sets.  In fact, four the five sets were determined by two points.
