NU women look sharp in exhibition win over UNK

Dominique Kelley returned to the Husker women’s starting lineup by scoring 10 points in the first half leading NU to a 97-55 win over Nebraska-Kearneyon Sunday at the Devaney Sports Center as the Huskers wrap up exhibition play.
Kelley, was 7-of-10 shots from the field, including 5-of-7 in the first half to finish with 14 points. It was the Lincoln native’s first game since undergoing knee surgery in late September. The Huskers shot 57% for the game, and committed just 16 turnovers.
Freshman Jordan Hooper led the Huskers in scoring for the second straight game with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. The two-time Nebraska High School Player of the Year from Alliance led five Husker starters in double figures.
Husker notes: Emily Cady of Seward committed to NU over the weekend after narrowing down several choices to play across the country. Cady’s has helped lead Seward to back-to-back Class B state championships and the Bluejays’ 50-game winning streak.
