Husker men post first exhibition win

Christian Standhardinger led the Nebraska offense with a double-double and Doc Sadler’s defense was too much for the Bobcats who committed 25 turnovers, as Nebraska won 75-43 in their first exhibition game of the season over Peru State on Wednesday night at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
Standhardinger posted game-high totals of 16 points and 10 rebounds, as three Huskers reached double figures in scoring. Jorge Brian Diaz had 13 points, and junior college transfer Andre Almeida had 11 points, with six rebounds and an impressive game-high six assists.  Something, NU didn’t have all last season…a big guy leading in assists.
NU shot over 46%  for the game, while Peru State shot only 28%. Nebraska had 12 steals.
