The funeral mass for the man who served as director of the College World Series for many years will be held Wednesday. Services for Jack Diesing Sr. will be held at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church in Omaha. That is a change in location.
Diesing’s son, Jack Diesing Jr. says they decided to change the location to the parish he and his wife are members. He says the parish is also willing to work with the family on several requests. To honor Diesing, the family wanted the song, “Take Me Out To the Ballgame” to be played after the mass. Mary Our Queen was willing to grant that request.
The service will be held at 10:30. Jack Diesing Sr. passed away March 31st at the age of 92.
