Head Coach Bo Pelini has one goal for the remainder of spring practice. For each player across the board to get better in terms of technique and skill.
NU began their second full week of spring practice with a 2-hour full-padded session on Monday afternoon inside the Hawks Championship Center. The Huskers held their first major scrimmage of the spring last Saturday, which included 150 plays. It was pretty much what Pelini expected in a game with not a lot of game planning against each unit. “It’s more about effort, about tackling, about the physicality of things. I thought we did some good things, I thought some guys showed up, not much different than my evaluation of a practice, which it should be at this point of the year. We have a long way to go on both sides of the football but that is to be expected.”
The Huskers return to the field Wednesday afternoon for their ninth of 14 spring practices leading up to the April 17 Red-White Spring Game. If you want tickets to the spring game, they are still available by visiting Huskers.com or by calling 1-800-8BIG-RED.
