DJ Belfonte went 3 for 4 including his fourth home run and drove in three runs to lead Nebraska to a 10-4 win over North Dakota Wednesday afternoon at Hawks Field. NU used a 14 hit attack on North Dakota and didn’t have to worry about coming back from a 10-run deficit like Tuesday as the Huskers scored five in the first inning.
That would be more than enough for Khris Tate and four relievers. Tate went just three innings for his first win, fanning three and allowed two hits to move to 1-0 this season. The Huskers are now 14-11.
The Huskers begin a three-game series at Oklahoma State beginning Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
