Ashley Haggeman threw her second shutout in consecutive days, as NU beat South Dakota State 6-0 in the second game of a double header to complete the NU sweep. In game one, NU won 8-3.
Hagemann (9-8) tied her career low by allowing only one hit, while striking out 12 and walking only two. She also got plenty of offensive support. It was the third straight game the Huskers had double-digit hits. Sophomore Madison Drake went 2 for 3 with her first two career RBIs, after entering the game with only one career hit. Freshman Brooke Thomason was 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs, while juniors Julie Brechtel and Heidi Foland were each 2 for 3 with an RBI.
In game one, Julie Brechtel finished 3 for 3 with a walk and two RBIs. Heidi Foland hit her 10th home run of the season as part of a 2 for 4 day that included a pair of runs scored and one RBI. Her home run also marked the 100th hit of her career. Sophomore Ashley Guile also produced a multi-hit game, finishing 2 for 4, while Whitney Barrett drove in a pair of runs.
