Nebraska-Omaha Maverick softball pitcher Lindsey Slocum earned both the MIAA pitcher and hitter of the week after throwing a perfect game and driving in four times as many runs at the plate as she allowed score while pitching.
Slocum threw a perfect game Sunday and went 2-0 last week with a 0.95 ERA. She faced 15 batters in game two against Missouri Southern struck out 10 of them. She also picked up a win Friday against Pittsburg State, allowing two runs with four strikeouts. Slocum also pitched 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief last Wednesday at Wayne State. On top of throwing a perfect game Sunday against MSSU, Slocum hit two home runs, including a grand slam and she hit .533 on the week. Slocum went 2-for-3 Wednesday with a homer in game one at Wayne State, and she went 3-for-4 Friday in game two against PSU.
