Adam Bailey went 2 for 4 and hit a grand slam in a 10-run third inning, as Nebraska beat Northern Colorado, 15-2, Wednesday afternoon at Hawks Field. Bailey has been red hot. He has nine straight multi-RBI games for Nebraska who is 11-9.
Bailey got both of his hits in that third inning, as the Huskers sent 16 hitters to the plate in turning a 1-0 game into a laugher. Bailey now has seven homers and 29 RBIs on the season, leading NU in both categories.
Josh Scheffert homered and drove in three runs, and Tyler Farst had two hits and two RBIs to help the Huskers run their home win streak to 10 games dating back to last season. Kale Kiser scored four times. The Huskers pounded out 13 hits and took advantage of a Northern Colorado team that walked six and hit five Huskers in the first three innings.
