Myrtle Beach airport to undergo major expansion

The Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board approved a multi-million dollar project to expand the Myrtle Beach International Airport. In a regular scheduled meeting last week, the board unanimously approved plans to renovate the current commercial terminal and construction on the new terminal wing.
WMBF in Myrtle Beach reports board-approved final designs will stay modern for many years.  The new project is expected begin within the next month and is scheduled to take about 36 months to complete. With this construction project, hundreds of jobs are expected to be created and around $300 million generated into the local economy.
