A former gang member is calling on all men in Omaha to step up to the plate and do something about the violence in Omaha. Just this week, eight people were injured by gunfire in an eight hour period. Ollie Perryman has strong words to both those who are committing crimes and to those who live in the areas where this violence is occurring.
Perryman is now challenging the men, especially in north Omaha to step up to the plate and do something about it. He has organized a youth summit to start the process of taking the neighborhoods back. It will be held Saturday at North High School in Omaha from 1:00 until 5 p.m.
