A daughter will spend time in prison for stealing money from her elderly mother.
Ann Perkins of Sacramento, California pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking. She is accused of taking money from her elderly mother here in Nebraska between November of 2005 and September of 2008. Perkins did have power of attorney over her mother’s affairs and she took money from her bank accounts cashed in two annuities and sold her mother’s home and kept the proceeds. The amount taken totals well over 43-thousand dollars. Perkins was sentenced to 16 to 20 months in prison in Douglas County District Court.
