NU gymnast Stone out after surgery

Senior Husker gymnast Kylie Stone has battled injuries her whole career and her latest will keep her out of the next two competitions. She hurt her knee warming up on Sunday and had surgery yesterday. The Huskers will travel to No. 9 Utah without Stone on Friday, before heading back to Lincoln for senior night March 14.
After winning its 17th Masters Classic title last Sunday, the Nebraska women’s gymnastics team is ranked 11th in the latest GymInfo poll. The rankings are calculated by regional qualifying score, which leaves NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. The Huskers are seventh nationally in team vault scoring (49.185), 17th on bars (48.88), tied for 12th on beam (48.845) and seventh on floor (49.135).
