It’s been a tough luck opening weekend for the Husker baseball squad who saw their record drop to 0-3 after losing their third straight to Fresno State on Sunday, dropping a 10-9 decision in 11 innings.
NU was up 8-6 in the ninth, only to see the Bulldogs score twice to tie the game. In Friday’s season opener, the Huskers let Fresno State score four runs in the bottom of the ninth to win. The Huskers scored a run in the 11th, but the Bulldogs scored two more times to steal the win.
Following Friday’s 7-5 loss, the Huskers dropped an 8-2 game on Saturday. Nebraska wraps up the four game series tonight. After this, the Huskers travel to Texas for the Rice Invitational next weekend.
