Creighton will battle No. Iowa minus their top center

The Creighton Bluejays men’s basketball team (13-13, 8-7 MVC) heads to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to take on league leading Northern Iowa (22-3, 13-2 MVC) tonight. The Panthers can clinch the outright MVC regular-season title with a win over the Bluejays.
However, the Panthers will be without senior center Jordan Egleseder. He’s been suspended for three games after being arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Eglseder is the Panthers’ second leading scorer at 12.2 points per game. His arrest followed a lost at Bradley 68-59 on Saturday to snap a six-game winning streak. Center Kenny Lawson Jr. leads Creighton in scoring (12.7 ppg.), rebounding (6.5 rpg.) and blocks (1.5) per game while also knocking down 54.4 percent of his shots from the floor and 81.4 percen at the line.
Tonight’s tip off is just after 7:07 p.m. central time.
