A couple of bills being introduced by Bellvue Senator Abbie Cornett would force insurance companies to provide reasonable prescription drug benefits and limit the amount of money patients have to pay out of pocket for the drugs their doctors provide.
“Well, with IVIG use in particular if you don’t get your medication you fall ill rather quickly. IVIG is used for people with no immune system or incomplete immune systems.”
Some patients are having to pay thousands of dollars each year to get the medicines they need to keep them well.
