Mello brings new movie incentive bill

Past efforts to provide tax incentives to movie makers have failed causing people that want to make movies about Nebraska to make them out of state. That upsets Omaha state Senator Heath Mello.
“Various motion picture and television productions will get some kind of income tax credit, but the major point is they don’t receive any of those income tax credits until they are able to provide an audited financial expenditure of all the money they spent in Nebraska.”
Mello hopes this will prevent the brain drain of Nebraska Filmmakers from going to other states to make their movies.
