Helmet bill held off for a week

An effort to repeal the motorcycle helmet law in the state is being held off until next week. The legislature is approving Senator Beau Mccoy of Omaha’s effort to allow more time to study the bill.
“We do need to take a very close look at this and not just in the light of a certain philosophy or perpsective or side of this issue one way or another.”
Senator Charlie Janssen’s bill would allow those 21 and over to choose whether or not to wear a helmet.
