Hasting's Slough named NAIA Nat'l Player of the Week

Jeremiah Slough of Hastings College was named the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Player of the Week. Slough, a 6-1 senior guard from Doniphan, Neb., set a Great Plains Athletic Conference scoring record of 61 points in one game, which fell three shy of the national record set back in 1994.
Slough led the Broncos to two key, road conference victories, the first of which was a 4 OT thriller against Midland Lutheran. In that game he was 18-32 from the field including 8-15 from behind the 3 point line, and 17-21 from the free throw line, pouring in 61 points. He followed that game with a 24 point performance at Morningside in a 89-77 win.
In the two games, he averaged 42.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2.5 steals. He shot 54.2% from the field, 52.2% from 3 point, and 77.8% from the free throw line.
