Fiala no longer on the Husker Sports Network

Nebraska football radio broadcasts will be without a familiar voice in 2010. Adrian Fiala, who has been a part of Husker football broadcasts for more than two decades, is no longer with the Husker Sports Network.
Network General Manager David Witty says, the football broadcasts will return to a traditional two-man booth. Greg Sharpe will return for his third full season as play-by-play announcer after starting mid-season in 2007. Matt Davison will be the lone color commentator for the first time since moving from the sidelines to the booth in 2007.
Fiala has had close ties to the University for decades, dating back to playing both football and baseball at NU in the 1960s. He has been a part of Husker Sports Network football broadcasts since 1996 and was a part of other Husker football broadcasts for several years before that point. He also co-hosts “Big Red Wrap-up” on NET during football season and has appeared on numerous NU baseball broadcasts.
