Police involved shooting in Omaha

Two Omaha police officers are on administrative leave after a shooting Friday night. The ordeal started when a woman near 24th and Laurel flagged down two Omaha officers and told them she had been robbed at gunpoint. The officers joined in the chase and located 25 year old Daniel Adams Sr. of Council Bluffs.
The officers say that Adams was pointing the gun at his head and told them to shoot him. He then turned the gun toward the officers. That is when both officers fired their weapons, hitting Adams. Another suspect, 28 year old Robert Cruz of Omaha was not injured but did have an outstanding warrant in Iowa.
The officers have been identified as 40 year old Chad Frodyma and 32 year old Patrick Petrick. Both are eight year members of the police force. An internal investigation is underway.
