Husker women set record for 3's in road win at Baylor

The biggest story in Nebraska has to the Husker women’s basketball team. It was another record setting game and a bunch of first for the 11th ranked Huskers who are now 16-0 after coming up with their first ever road win against a top 10 team beating Baylor yesterday afternoon 65-56.
The NU ladies set a school record hitting 12 three pointers. Senior guard Yvonne Turner hit a career high six three pointers as she finished with a season high 22 points with six rebounds, a season high four steals and two assists.
The Huskers had a first half lead at 31-26 and NU was just 2 of 11 on field goals. The Huskers were down in this game 50-48 with just under eight minutes to play. From that point on Baylor was held to just two field goals the rest of the game as the defense turned up the heat.
The women will next play Saturday at home against K-State. Updated national rankings come out later today.
