Nebraska-Omaha wins National Duals in Iowa

The Division II top-ranked Nebraska-Omaha wrestling team rolled through the weekend winning seven matches including a 25-6 decision over second-ranked Newberry, 25-6, to repeat as champions and win its fifth NWCA National Duals title Sunday afternoon at the UNI-Dome.
Things didn’t work out as well for the Nebraska Cornhuskers or Nebraksa-Kearney Lopers. The 3rd ranked Lopers lost both of their matches to #6 Wisconsin-Parkside and #16 Gannon University.
The Cornhuskers dropped both of their matches on Saturday losing first to Buffalo, then top ranked Iowa. One of the few bright spots for the Huskers was 197 pound senior Craig Brester who won both of his matches to move his record to 18-0 on the season.
