Winter weather event is on its way

Brace yourself, a stronger winter weather event is headed to Nebraska. National Weather Service Meteorologist Rick Shermock says a winter storm will come in two waves first dropping rain and ice on Tuesday in the Eastern part of the state.
“And with this second wave that’s when the winds will really pick up and we’re looking at probably pretty good chance of similar type of wind gusts as that last event, a lot of frequent gusts in the the 30-40 mile per hour range for Thursday afternoon, Thursday night, and into Friday”
Watch out for Blizzard conditions Thursday night and Friday with wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
