Husker men hold off Oregon State

Senior guard Ryan Anderson put of his third career double-double in a defensive battle as the Cornhuskers beat Oregon State 50-44 at the Devaney Center on Saturday.
Anderson finished with 16 points to lead the Huskers (7-2) as he hit 6-of-13 attempts from the field. The rest of the team was 13-of-39 against a difficult Oregon State (4-4) zone defenses as the Huskers shot a season-low 36.5 percent from the floor. Zone defense is the best way to slow a good outside shooting team and tonight the Beavers did their best, but it wasn’t enough, despite the fact the Huskers missed their first 11 three point tries.
