Coaches could care less about Cowboys Stadium

There’s been a lot of talk about the Huskers going into enemy territory for the Big 12 title game in Texas to face the Longhorns. However, for one Husker, Saturday’s game will be a homecoming for freshmen running back Rex Burkhead who played his high school ball in Plano, TX, not too far from the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
The Huskers will hold their final practice today in Lincoln before heading down to Texas tomorrow. Defensive coordinator Carl Pelini says the team is not changing 48 hour routine at all. So, no walk through the billion dollar stadium on Friday. Pelini says the field is still 100 yards. I love offensive line coach Barney Cotton’s reaction to the stadium. He said he drove past it while recruiting in Texas and said it was nice, but he “doesn’t care.” He called the Big 12 game and the trip to Dallas a “business trip.”
I love the attitude. Listen to the Big Red Report.
