Banwarth sets NU record in sweep over Baylor

For the fourth straight match, the Nebraska Cornhusker volleyball team has swept its opponent and for the second time this season, they took care of the Baylor Bears in three sets winning by scores of 16, 21, and 20. Kayla Banwarth set a new Husker record with 32 digs, the most in a three set match.
The 9th ranked Huskers also picked up their 20th win of the season and are now 13-4 in the Big 12. Banwarth’s 32 digs tied a career high that she had in a five set win over Minnesota earlier this season. It was a good defensive night for NU who held Baylor to .089 team hitting. In addition to Banwarth, The Huskers had at least 10 digs, as outside hitters Tara Mueller and Hannah Werth added 10 apiece for NU, while Kori Cooper totaled a season-high five blocks, including three solos, as NU totaled nine blocks on the night.
